So here’s to passion, creativity…and loving all things different…..she’s just like her momma!:)peace!

Mr and Mrs Lehmann…wedding photography in birmingham alabama

SO May blows through into June and quite soon July..things have been so crazy busy and over the top fun not sure I can catch up on everything but I sure intend to try!
So I start with the Will and Whit, this couple became Mr. and Mrs. at Gardendale First Baptist Church and then partied into the night at The Wynfrey Hotel. I can’t believe it but that was the first time I covered a wedding there. I will add that I think it is silly you have to have “permission” to take pictures in the Mall…so we didn’t get to play on the carousel.
I wonder how many Moms taking pics of their kiddos have been accosted by the same rent a cop we did LOL But working with this fun, crazy couple made it all worth it!!
Congrats and thanks for your service Will! BE SAFE!

Mike and Dionne…OH and Tanner and Emma too!

So I have the absolute pleasure of getting to create images for my friends Mike and Dionne. Some find it a bit hard to work with friends..you know the whole if it’s gonna go wrong it usually happens with friends or family, but thank goodness I try to give Mike a hard enough time that he wonders if we are friends sometimes.. so maybe that helps…or maybe it’s that Dionne thought she was as nervous as I was..but she wasn’t. My only regret is that I had to show them my dog barking tricks and what a goof ball you truly have to be to get folks to forget they are being photographed! But I hope they forget quickly….or at least not make fun of me next time we hang out…right MIKE????:)
This September has a few weekends I am looking forward too, but getting to party and work at their event is definitely at the top!:)See you guys soon!
Ps. If anyone needs Tanner to model just contact me I will be his agent! HE LOVES the model!

Enjoy every minute…

I was reminded watching the dynamics of a family I recently shot that sometimes you have to stop and “enjoy every minute”. SO many times when kids are young you hear..”enjoy every minute” but still you run around trying to corral little ones, change them, make them smile right and yet when your on my side of the fence all encompassed in what school might be right for your college bound child, or how to teach the 16 yo to drive or who’s going to pick up the 10 yo at travel ball…..I could go on and on… that in short.. You really should enjoy every minute. I so enjoyed watching and listening to this 4 yo tell me he likes horses but he likes puppies better, that he really doesn’t know how to count but he will try, and that a little girl really never wants to be more than a foot away from Daddy. I think my favorite was the wishing flowers…..so many memories came flooding back as I watched these sweet children pick wishing flowers and blow them to bits. And I had the PLEASURE of photographing them and I share some of their lifes memories here…
Enjoy Every Minute!

P.K. Portraits in Birmingham Al

Well yes it seems once again the blog has been mistreated as an one of the important things to get done around here….but then again the blog must understand that there has been LOTS of things going on so in an attempt to make an offering to the blog and another wink and a promise of posting more…here’s PK. What a joy to be lucky enough to photograph a baby that is living to be the dream her parents hoped for! She is a true angel!:)
